Feeding Families

Program goals: Feeding Families provides Affiliate Member food banks with resources and funding to help them work more effectively with families with school-aged children.

Support: There are two components of the program:

  1. Educational resources are available to help people living on low incomes by providing information about planning and preparing nutritious and economical meals.
  2. A granting fund is available for our membership. Members and Affiliate Members may apply each fall for assistance with developing and implementing family-focused programs or initiatives.

How to participate: Members can apply for support through the Members area of this site for activities aimed at creating, improving, or growing a family-focused program or initiative. Food banks, food programs, and interested individuals are invited to download the educational fact sheets.

To provide funding for this program, or for more information, please email feedingfamilies@foodbankscanada.ca.

The Feeding Families program was launched with founding support from McCain Foods (Canada), an ongoing sponsor of the program.
